What a Broke Girl Fund?
The Broke Girl Fund is Planned Mess’ way of helping women in our community tackle life’s unexpected curveballs. It’s not charity — it’s community care, where women support women through bills, emergencies, and sticky situations that pop up when life gets messy.
A portion of every purchase goes directly into the fund, and once we hit our first milestone, members of the Planned Mess community can apply for assistance. Recipients can remain anonymous or share their story, depending on their comfort level.
It’s simple, transparent, and designed to turn life’s mess into something a little more manageable because we all deserve a little help sometimes.
How It Works
1. Shop & Support:
Every purchase from Planned Mess contributes a portion of proceeds to the Broke Girl Fund. Your merch buys more than comfort. It helps women in our community tackle unexpected life challenges.
2. Fund Milestones:
The fund grows with each purchase. Once it reaches key milestones, we can begin reviewing applications and distributing support:

$500 → First round of member applications open

$750–$1,000 → Contribution increases to 5% of proceeds

$1,500–$2,000 → Contribution increases to 10% of proceeds
3. Membership Required:
Only members of the Planned Mess community can apply for assistance (P.S : It's FREE to Sign Up here:
Membership ensures we’re building a connected, supportive community of women helping women.
4. Apply for Assistance:
Once the fund reaches $500, applications open. Applicants complete a simple process (no credit check required) to be considered for support.
5. Review & Support:
Applications are reviewed each month. Recipients receive financial assistance based on need, with the option to remain anonymous or share their story with the community.
6. Celebrate & Grow Together:
Every purchase, every application, every success story contributes to the Planned Mess community. The more we shop, share, and engage, the bigger the impact we can make together.
Who Qualifies
The Broke Girl Fund is for women in the Planned Mess community who could use a little extra support navigating life’s unexpected challenges.
Eligibility is simple:
1 . Must be a member of the Planned Mess community
2 . Must be a U.S. Resident (we do not care about your citizenship or immigration status, sis YOU ARE HUMAN)
3. Must complete the short application process (no credit check required!) Can apply for help with bills, emergencies, or other financial hardships.
Recipients can choose to remain anonymous or share their story with the community.
The goal is to provide meaningful support to women who need it most —helping them manage life’s messy moments with dignity, care, and community.
Milestones & Fund Growth
The Broke Girl Fund grows with every purchase, and we’ve set clear milestones to keep the community informed and engaged:
$500 → First round of member applications opens
$750–$1,000 → Contribution increases to 5% of proceeds
$1,500–$2,000 → Contribution increases to 10% of proceeds
50% Fund Growth → Once the fund reaches $250, we’ll launch a page to track its growth and display an estimated countdown. At that point, you’ll be able to apply! Stay connected by following us on Instagram and subscribing to the blog so you’ll know the moment the fund becomes available for applications.
100% Fund Goal → Full launch! Applications will be actively reviewed, and support will be distributed to members in need.
